Tom is a Partner at Kurzman, Dempsey & Kowalker, LLP. Prior to joining Kurzman, Dempsey & Kowalker, Tom was a Shareholder of Keith, Hersey, Sheehan, Benoit, Dempsey & Oman, PC until 1996 at which time he decided to join his former colleagues from Laventhol & Horwath and merge his client base with what was then Kurzman & Scibetta.

Tom’s approach with his clients has always been to establish long lasting relationships that enable them to benefit from valuable insight regarding their accounting and tax planning needs.   Tom’s hands-on approach, immediate response to client requests and attention to client matters have served his clients well and earned their high praises. Many of Tom’s original clients, as far back as his Keith & Mareb days from 1975, remain clients of Kurzman, Dempsey and Kowalker, as do their children and in some cases their grandchildren.

Tom had served on the Personnel Board for the Town of Abington for a number of years and today resides in the town of Hingham with his wife Claire.

Tom is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Aimee is the managing Partner of Kurzman, Dempsey & Kowalker, LLP. Aimee has dedicated herself to ensuring the firm and its professionals are committed to excellence by leveraging technology and ensuring ongoing education and a favorable work life balance are available to all members of the firm. Aimee’s approach with her clients is to maintain open lines of communication allowing her to stay abreast of their evolving tax needs.  Aimee possess a wide breadth of knowledge that enables her to advise her clients on complex tax matters, tax planning and many aspects of business planning. This knowledge base combined with her strong technical skills, ensures Aimee’s clients benefit from timely, reliable, and forward thinking support.

Aimee’s work ethic was cultivated early on during her high school internship at a law firm. While continuing her full time studies at Bridgewater University in pursuit of her Bachelor’s degree she also dedicated herself to her responsibilities at the law firm as the bookkeeper and network administrator where she worked with the firm’s outside accountant, Thomas Dempsey, III. After passing the CPA exam, Tom extended Aimee an invitation to work at his firm as an accountant to gain the experience she needed to complete her certification. Aimee joined Kurzman, Dempsey & Scibetta, LLP and was quickly promoted to Partner.  In 2003, she obtained her MST from Bentley University with high distinction.

Aimee is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants. She continually seeks out opportunities to elevate the firm and the services offered to its diverse client base.

Justin has worked in public accounting for over 10 years, earning his Masters degree from Bentley University with a Masters certificate in Financial Planning and his Undergraduate degree from Fairfield University.

Prior to joining Kurzman, Dempsey and Kowalker, LLP, Justin worked as a tax supervisor for Taylor & Company PC in North Attleboro.

At his prior firm, he serviced individual clients from a broad spectrum of professions, as well as business clients from various industries, lending to extensive knowledge and experience that has translated quite well to his time at KDK, LLP. This, along with his strong technical skills, ensures clients benefit from advanced support. Much of Justin’s focus is on proactive tax planning, enacting a “wholistic” approach with a team of advisors in order to properly address issues and employ effective tax planning strategies. Earlier in his career, Justin worked in the private sector of accounting for CVS Health.

Justin is a member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, participating in the Young Professionals and Real Estate Committees, and also is a member of the AICPA.

Justin enjoys giving back to his community and had served as Treasurer for Attleboro Land Trust for many years, as well as in many various volunteer roles at his Church. He has raised thousands of dollars for various charitable entities by participating in a variety of charity bike rides.

Once an avid cycler, golfer, motorcycle, and New England sports enthusiast (he will ALWAYS root for Tom Brady), those hobbies have taken a back seat to spending time with friends and family. No matter how busy his personal and professional life have become, he always finds time to visit a new brewery with his wife, Nicole, 1-year old son, Wyatt, and Pomsky, Opal.

He likes to boast he has the best lawn in the neighborhood. Justin also has a proficiency in conversational Polish, and loves to travel, fostered mostly by spending the majority of his summers from childhood through his college years in Poland with family.

Katie is a Principal at Kurzman, Dempsey & Kowalker, LLP, with over 20 years of experience servicing the accounting and tax needs of a diverse client portfolio. Her extensive knowledge base and interpersonal skills have enabled her to gain the trust and confidence of both established and new clients.

Kate is an active member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA), was a member of the Board of Directors and served as the past Chair of the Federal Taxation Committee.  She also represents the MSCPA as a member of the Internal Revenue Service Practitioner Liaison Committee. Katie is also a current member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Katie earned her Master of Science in Taxation from Bentley University in February 2004, where she continued with her studies, receiving an Advanced Certificate in Financial Planning in February of 2012.  Kate also received undergraduate degrees from both Smith College and Bridgewater University.

Prior to joining Kurzman, Dempsey and Kowalker, LLP, Katie worked as a tax manager for Kesner, Godes and Morrissey, LLC in Randolph as well as Godes, Schaffer and Company, P.C. of Stoughton. Earlier in her career, Katie worked in the private sector of accounting, in both manufacturing and service industries.

Katie enjoys giving back to her community, and had served as treasurer and charter organizational representative for a Boy Scout troop and served on the Board of Trustees for a local church for many years.  She raises funds for the Massachusetts Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society by participating in charity walks and bike rides.

Dawn is a Tax Manager at Kurzman, Dempsey & Kowalker, LLP. She has spent nearly 20 years in public accounting working with businesses and individuals helping them to navigate the evolving tax laws and how best to posture for success. She consults with her clients to employ effective tax planning strategies aimed at minimizing tax consequences. Dawn’s objective is always to help her clients succeed and reach their goals. Dawn graduated from Northeastern University with high honors obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Dawn is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Raivon Reynolds is our newest team member and holds the position of Senior Tax Associate at Kurzman, Dempsey and Kowalker, LLP. Raivon brings her knowledge and experience in state and local taxation from her time working at PwC, one of the big 4 accounting firms.  As part of our team, Raivon is expanding her knowledge in partnership and corporate taxation and building her expertise in individual income taxation.

Raivon is an active member of the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, participating in the Young Professionals Committee. Raivon is a proud graduate of the University of Rhode Island where she earned her undergraduate degree in accounting. Raivon is currently studying for the CPA exam.

Raivon enjoys nature, traveling and cooking as well as activities such as bike riding, going for walks and spending time at the gym. She has a love for animals and enjoys spending time with her mom’s horses, dogs and cats and also has four cats of her own. Raivon balances her busy professional work life by spending time with family and watching her favorite shows and movies in her downtime.

Carmen Matloff, Firm Administrator, joined Kurzman, Dempsey and Kowalker in December 2020. Carmen has a strong background in business operations, office management, and human resources. She is well versed in the dynamics of a public accounting firm as she was both a Director of Operations and a Firm Administrator at two local CPA firms. Carmen’s 30 years of experience in business administration provides a solid foundation to ensure the exceptional quality of our tax, financial and advisory services.

Included in Carmen’s strengths is her determination to work diligently to accommodate the needs of our clients.  Her attention to detail and organizational skills are invaluable. Carmen possesses a thorough knowledge of quality control for the secure electronic transmission of all tax returns and financial statements as well as the general exchange of all client information. She can confidently guide all clients through the process with ease.

Carmen is bilingual, in addition to English she is fluent in Spanish. She previously worked for the City of Brockton on a contractual basis as a Microsoft Office Instructor and has taught classes both in English and Spanish.

We are proud to share that Carmen enjoys giving back to her community; for many years, she organized tax season food drives.  In conjunction with Wounded Warriors, Carmen has been instrumental in organizing assistance to our veterans for tax returns preparation and filing.

Debbie has been the bookkeeper here at Kurzman, Dempsey & Kowalker, LLP for over 20 years. Debbie has a long history here at the firm, as her mother was a founding partner. Debbie has filled many roles at the firm until settling in as our bookkeeper. Her responsibilities at the firm include accounts receivable, payables, payroll, individual tax preparation and assisting with human resource activities.

Debbie has been in the accounting industry for over 30 years, obtaining her Accounting degree from Stonehill College. Prior to joining the firm, she started her accounting career in the accounts payable department at Harvard University.
